Imposing transparency
[hi-fi (high fidelity)] a term used by music listeners and those passionate with audio (audiophiles) to refer to high quality sound reproduction, as faithful as possible to the original performance.
[abouthifi (abouthifi.com)] the online magazine for those passionate with sound and music lovers in general.
Abouthifi.com is a new vehicle for the modern highways of information, with its highest priority to respect the lue of reproduced sound through electronic devices which honor our musical senses.
Our team of editors welcomes you to abouthifi.com, a new online magazine whose goal is to provide information concerning hi-fi proceedings and developments in a timely and objective manner. We want abouthifi.com to address a wider crowd, bringing them closer to high fidelity. Our magazine is bilingual, weekly updated and eager to have the most consummate presence in its field, covering news, products and events from throughout the world.

The website’s design helps easy navigation and search through all hosted material. All of the news, reviews, events, interviews and discography remain available to refer to, at any time, by anyone - see ARCHIVE section.
Reviews
Reviews @ abouthifi.com are conducted through exhaustive listening sessions and after the necessary running-in time for each device. Speakers, amps, sources and cables remain on operation for at least as long as their manufacturer suggests; only then may the review commence. Reference to the listening setup and programme is mandatory, in each review.
Our reference system is not static, but flexible, following the requirements of each reviewed component. Furthermore, as the market evolves, we choose to follow new, emerging developments. We do not match devices that show electrical or technical incompatibility. We respect each manufacturer’s philosophy, evaluating whether it achieves fulfillment of different needs or compliance to a particular sound “school”. For instance, a low and a high wattage amplifier will not be asked to drive the same difficult load. We are, therefore, opting for the best combinations, among which you can make a safe choice.
